One thing that I look forward to every November is decorating the front of my house with greens for the Holidays. I love the color, texture and holiday cheer they bring to my otherwise boring front of my house. I always put a spruce tip pot out and a garland each year. Sometimes I add other little extras. I pick my greens up from Gertens, but there are so many nurserys and chains that sell holiday greens. Gertens has an incredible selection of spruce tip pots, wreaths, garlands and diy spruce tip supplies and extras.
Something that I have always done that you could consider a spruce tip “hack” is I pick up a pre-made spruce tip pot then jazz it up. This year I added cedar to the outer edge, magnolia stems, some gold glitter picks and some twig lights. I finished my pot with some wilt stop to prevent the greens from browning throughout the winter. I find that this method is easier because the proportions of the spruce tips and greens in the pot are already perfect. It usually comes out less expensive for me compared to purchasing the spruce tips and extras separately.
