Every year Jake and I like to visit Como Zoo and Conservatory in the springtime before the weather gets nice here in Minnesota. This year we were able to catch the last day of the spring flower show. I love stepping into the Conservatory as it feels like I have been transported into a tropical paradise. The warm air and the beautiful floral scents hit you as soon as you walk through the doors. I love visiting right away in the morning as it is so peaceful without the hustle and bustle of many visitors. When I leave I feel inspired and excited to start my spring planting in a few short weeks.

If you are local and wanting to visit Como Zoo this year, they are still taking advance reservations in order to enter, however it is still free to visit!

We were able to travel to Philadelphia a few weeks back for my work conference. This was the first time that both Jake and I have been able to travel out of the state since the start of COVID. It was so nice to get back to traveling, even if it was work related!

We stayed at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown which was super close to the convention center were my conference was located. This hotel is huge and was well kept! We were able to fit a little sightseeing in between conference sessions. We decided since we were short on time we would book a car service for 1 hour and have the driver show us the highlights of Philadelphia during that time. We also used the same driver for transfer to and from the airport. If you are ever in need of transportation in Philadelphia, Sunny is amazing! We had so much fun! Sunny first brought us to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and then to see the Rocky Statue. We then went to the Four Seasons Hotel. We were hoping that we could go up to the top floor to view the entire city, but they were at max capacity. After that we went to the Philadelphia Courthouse then to the Old City area where the Liberty Bell is located and many other historical figures and museums. We were able to get out and walk around for 15 to 20 minutes at each location. This was such a fun way to explore a new city in a short amount of time! I will be using this trick in the future.

For dining we had so much fun exploring the Reading Terminal Market each day. This is one of the United States largest indoor public markets. I also love that it is located in a historic building. Anyway, this place is huge and has so many vendors! They have pretty much everything you could ever want to eat all under one roof. Each day we went we tried something different. One thing to note is that they do close at 6:00 pm each day, so if you are going for dinner, you do need to go early.

We are already looking forward to our next trip, whenever that will be!

Quince cashmere hat and gloves
Quince cashmere gloves
Quince cashmere pom beanie

I love cashmere, but do not always love the price, that is until I discovered Quince this past year. Quince sells high quality essentials like cashmere and silk for a fraction of the price of other retailers. I have been in the market for a few new cashmere pom pom beanie hats. I love to match my hat and gloves to my coat haha. I found some 100% cashmere beanies at Quince for only $29.90! The hats fit great and they are very soft and nice quality cashmere. I also ordered two pairs of the cashmere tech gloves. These gloves are also $29.90! The gloves are a nice weight and not too bulky. My hands tend to run on the larger side for women and they fit me well.

I have yet to try other Quince products but I have my eye on the cashmere sweatpants and cashmere robe. I think any of their cashmere pieces would make great gifts for any occasion. Quince also offers free shipping which is a big plus. Their customer service has also been top notch.

You can use this code to get $20 off your purchase!
